Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark Hopes to Soar Into London's West End

Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark is looking to open a production of the blockbuster musical in London, according to the Daily Mail. Lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris recently scoped out West End theaters including the Drury Lane and Palladium as potential venues for the musical. 

Due to the musical's large scale and many high-flying special effects, however, the search for a theater has not been successful. "Short of building a theater, there doesn't seem to be a solution," a spokesperson for the production said. 

Featuring a score by Bono and the Edge, Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark follows the adventures of New York teenager Peter Parker as he gains super powers and is forced to battle the evil Green Goblin. The show is currently running at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre starring Reeve Carney in the title role. The cast also featues Rebecca Faulkenberry as Mary Jane Watson, Patrick Page as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and Katrina Lenk as Arachne.
